About film
Rabin In His Own Words is an “autobiography” of sorts told by Israel's prime-minister Yitzhak Rabin, composed of rare archival footage, home movies, and private letters. His personal and professional dramas unfold before the viewer's eyes – from his childhood as the son of a labor leader to the founding of the State of Israel; his journey from a farmer to an army man; his brilliant diplomatic career as the Israeli Ambassador to the United States; his entry into the Israeli political arena, his terms as the Prime Minister, the opposition leader, the Minister of Defense, and Prime Minister once more; and the tragic moment when his life was brought to an end.
