Denis Viren, a leading Russian specialist in Polish cinema, will discuss the place of Bitter Harvest within the context of Agnieszka Holland's life and work. The talk will cover the unique directorial journey from Polish «cinema of moral anxiety» to exemplary contemporary series, such as House of Cards and The Wire.
