About speaker
The new VR-movie program of the Moscow Jewish Film Festival opens at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center. Interactive films and movies shot on 360 cameras, made in the best traditions of Jewish education and preservation of Jewish history.
About event
On September 10, the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center opens the VR-cinema program section of the Moscow Jewish Film Festival. From 12:00 to 22:00 in the space above the 4D-cinema, the VR-section will work, consisting of seven VR-stations: three stations for showing interactive works and four stations for showing 360 films
Going forward, the VR cinema program will run at the Jewish Museum every Sunday from October 15 through November 12, as follows: October 15, October 22, October 29, November 5, and November 12.
The 360 films are shot on a real video camera with a 360-degree view, which allows the viewer to look around at what is happening while remaining inside the actual videotaped documentary narrative.
Interactive movies most often resemble a computer game, but built around a story narrative that the project is about. And interactive movies allow the audience to find themselves inside the events and make a decision within the story the project is telling.
All films of the VR-cinema section of the 8th MECF will be available to the audience free of charge.
