Alex Levy-Heller is a Brazilian director who started out as a documentary filmmaker — his first work, O Relógio do Meu Avô was autobiographical. His other films include the documentary Macaco Tião — O Candidato do Povo. In 2009, Alex produced the documentary film Dzi Croquettes about the eponymous queer Brazilian theater group of the 1970s.
