Dmitry Astrakhan received the Honorary Award for his outstanding contribution to the development of Jewish cinema in Russia.
On June 23, during the opening ceremony of the 5th Moscow Jewish Film Festival, Boruсh Gorin, on behalf of the MJFF Public Council, presented the Honorary Award to Dmitry Astrakhan — for his outstanding contribution to the development of Jewish cinema in Russia.
Boruсh Gorin, member of the festival’s public council, head of the FJCR public relations department:
I had the pleasant honor to present the Honorary Award for outstanding contribution to the development of Jewish cinema in Russia. Jewish is often confused with what is done by the Jews. But in fact, Jewish is something that touches on the Jewish theme. This year we are handing this prize to Dmitry Astrakhan, the man who makes Jewish cinema in Russia.
