Creators of the Moscow Jewish Film Festival announce dates for its fifth-anniversary edition.
The Moscow Jewish Film Festival will take place for the fifth time from June 23 to June 30, 2019. Creators of the Festival extend the application deadline for its competition programs and will be receiving applications till April 15, 2019.
This year the competition program of narrative feature films is open for entry to Russian and foreign works created in 2018 or 2019, according to Regulations of the 5th Moscow Jewish Film Festival.
All films that participate in the Moscow Jewish Film Festival are united by the idea of telling stories about the Jewish Culture and its different facets, such as life of the Jewish people in Diaspora and in Israel, questions of identity, religion, family values, history of the Jewish people in the 20 century and art.
Egor Odintsov, CEO of the MJFF:
It is especially important to us to make the application process as open as possible. Every year we receive more and more proposals. To this day we have received more than 400 works from all over the world via international platforms for film festivals, which is wonderful for a festival with quite narrow thematic frames.
