The program of the 4th Moscow Jewish Film Festival is announced.

The program of the Festival includes more than 50 pictures. Their descriptions are available at the Festival website.

This year the expert jury and film lovers will be presented with the best films of the latest years from more than fifteen countries, including the USA, Romania, Hungary, France, Israel, the UK, Ukraine and Russia.

Vanya Bowden, Program Director of the MJFF:

It is evident that every year different trends and issues stand out within one seemingly narrow Jewish theme. This year we will present several pictures that shed light on Holocaust denial and Holocaust-Memory Silencing, there will be works telling about sexual minorities and their rights in modern society. Another important theme looks into how the Jewish history is being understood by modern youth. I feel special joy while watching experimental films of young directors. As in previous years, it is important to me to create a program that will appeal to a wide and diverse audience.

The program consists of narrative feature films, documentary and short films. Their themes cover various aspects of life of the Jewish society, from the problem of denying or silencing the memory of the Holocaust to attempts of the Jewish youth to understand history, from issues faced by sexual minorities to problems of social adaptation.
