10th MJFF Closing Film was announced

Georgiy Daneliya's film «Passport» will be screened at the closing of the anniversary film festival.

On December 14, at the Closing Ceremony of the 10th Moscow Jewish Film Festival, the winners will be awarded and Georgiy Daneliya's film «Passport» will be screened.

«Passport» is a comedy-parable about a Georgian taxi driver, Merab, who mistakenly ends up in Israel instead of his brother Yakov, a choir conductor who decided to emigrate. He desperately tries to get back, finding himself in absurd situations and confronting the realities of a new country, set against the backdrop of the late Perestroika era and mass emigration. The film explores questions of national identity, fate, and the search for one's place, using the motif of a «foreign» passport and foreign land.
