The documentary program of the 9th Moscow Jewish Film Festival has been announced.

The films in the documentary program of this year's Moscow Jewish Film Festival interact in one way or another with the problem of memory and self-reflection. The program of the 9th Moscow Jewish Film Festival will feature films from different countries - from Russia to Colombia, from the USA and France to Serbia and India — they provide an opportunity to look into how human life works and how difficult human destiny can be.

Eight feature films will take part in the competition program: «999: The Forgotten Girls» (directed by Heather Dune Macadam, USA, 2024, 18+), «The Three of Us» (directed by Henya Brodbeker, Israel, 2023, 18+), «Call Me Dancer» (dir. Pip Gilmore and Leslie Shampaine, India, Great Britain, Israel, 2023, 12+), «Here Lived» (dir. Jane Wells, USA, 2024, 18+), «Between the Stone and the Flower» (dir. Roberto Otero Morfa, USA, 2023, 16+), «Fioretta» (dir. Matthew Mishory, USA, Czech Republic, 2023, 18+), «Novi Sad Remembrance» (dir. Aleksandar Rejic, Serbia, 2024, 16+) and «The Spy Family» (dir. Rafael Balulu, Israel, 2023, 18+).

The program of short documentaries will be divided into two blocks: «Religion and Reality» and «Who am I».

Egor Sennikov, Program Director:

People trying to adapt their child with special needs to the world around them; women preparing an uprising in a concentration camp; descendants of immigrants who understand the past of their ancestors — all these plots are intertwined in this year's MJFF's documentary program to immerse viewers in a variety of stories and allow them to better understand themselves.
