President of the Jury, Leonid Yarmolnik:

It is, of course, a great pleasure for me to head the jury of the 8th Moscow Jewish Film Festival. As an actor, I have played many Jewish characters, which, hopefully, our audience has come to love. As a producer, I have also been involved in films with obvious Jewish themes — «Stilyagi», «Odessa», «Barak»... All this, of course, shows that I care about the Jewish theme in cinema. That is why it is especially pleasant for me to be related to the Jewish Film Festival this year. At the same time I promise, as the chairman, to be extremely honest and objective! And I can only be glad that the festival is back — in our not the easiest time. It seems to me that cultural life is important in any circumstances. I hope it will be so.
