About film
Poland, 1943. A wealthy Polish peasant named Leon finds an exhausted woman in the forest. Her name is Rosa. She is a Jewish woman fleeing from the Nazis. Leon gives Rosa shelter and provides her with aid. But their forced coexistence ends in catastrophe, as the characters of the woman from a middle-class background and the simple peasant prove to be incompatible.
