About film
After her grandmother's death – the last keeper of family secrets about life in pre-war Tunisia – Elisabeth returns to the family’s empty Paris apartment. In these silent rooms, she searches for traces of a country she has never seen but feels intimately connected to through her mother. The film is a meditative journey into family memory, heritage, and female identity. Objects and furniture become bridges between the two shores of the Mediterranean and across two generations of women, unveiling the secrets of the past and the enduring power of bonds that connect us across generations and time.
