This is a remarkable animated story about Leonid Shvartsman—a great artist and the creator of beloved fairy-tale animations that have forever remained in the hearts of millions. He designed the iconic Cheburashka, contributed to The Snow Queen, and worked on many other cherished animated films, becoming an integral part of countless childhoods and an inspiration for generations. Born in Minsk to a Jewish family, Shvartsman endured war, loss, and hardship, yet his imagination and dreams remained with him. Combining vibrant animation with archival footage, the film transforms his life into a magical tale of how imagination and belief in miracles can keep the light alive within each of us.

Yekaterina Sharomet is a Belarusian director, screenwriter, and film editor. Born in Mogilev in 1998, she graduated with honors from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts. She has worked on video projects for major brands and since 2022 has collaborated with the Vladimir Bokun Studio. Sharomet is a recipient of scholarships from the Victor Turov Foundation and the Talented Youth Foundation, and is a member of the Belarusian Filmmakers’ Union.
