About film
Deep in Montreal, inside a forgotten egg warehouse, lie 36 stained-glass windows adorned with Stars of David. Having endured wars, migration, and neglect, they are found – only to vanish once again. Director Simcha Stull turns this architectural puzzle into a thrilling detective story, where each panel becomes a key to a family mystery. Through a personal lens, the film brings to life the Plateau, Montreal's legendary Jewish quarter, where the lives of Eastern European immigrants intertwined for generations. More than a nostalgic trip, this visually striking film is a meditation on memory itself, where every faded photo and letter forces us to question how we keep our past alive.
