About film
Lauren Miller Rogen and her husband Seth Rogen share a personal story about her mother's illness, diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's at age 55. Together with director James Keach, they create an intimate and moving film about love, support, and the daily struggle with an incurable disease. Through home videos, interviews, and everyday moments, the film shows how humor, the involvement of loved ones, and the willingness to talk about difficult topics become pillars of strength in difficult times. The Taking Care is more than a film about illness—it's a story about maturity, compassion, and the drive to change society's perception of dementia.
