About film
An inspiring, funny, and heartfelt comedy about how we all share one world and can connect, regardless of our origins or beliefs. The film immerses us in the world of a prison, playfully exploring the archetypes of various religions with humor and warmth. Daniel (Max Boublil) seems to have it all: charisma, a successful restaurant business, an lovable son, a beautiful wife, and a luxurious apartment near central Paris. But his desire for more soon comes at a price – the police arrest him right in his restaurant for tax evasion and hiring undocumented workers. So, his apartment is swapped for a 9-square-meter cell, his expensive suits and shoes for a tracksuit and flip-flops, and his family for his fellow inmates. Yet, his humor, resourcefulness, and gift of gab help him navigate prison life with surprising ease.
