About film
An 18-year-old Israeli soldier, Shlomi (Ido Tako), goes AWOL from his IDF unit in Gaza to see his girlfriend, Shiri (Mika Reiss), in Tel Aviv. She is about to leave for Canada to study. He soon learns that the Israeli army is searching for him and has reported him as kidnapped in the Gaza Strip – a claim that could have serious consequences. The film paints a vivid portrait of a young man struggling under the pressures of military service. Over a frantic 24-hour spent navigating the streets of Tel Aviv, it shifts effortlessly between genres – romance, thriller, drama, and situational comedy.
