About film
Regina (Rivka Michaeli) and her granddaughter Mica (Sharon Strulban) travel to Poland to reclaim family property seized during World War II. Regina is mourning the recent death of her son, Mica's father, and the trip offers a change of scenery – it's her first time returning to her native Warsaw. However, the property search is quickly derailed by the grandmother herself. While Mica and a family relative accompanying them (Uri Hochman) try to track down the house, Regina searches for a long-lost love she left behind in Poland 70 years ago, and Mica finds herself falling for a comic-book artist who is also their guide. Based on the graphic novel by Rutu Modan, the director's sister, the film deftly balances comedy and drama. It received four Ophir Award (Israeli Academy Award) nominations for Best Actress (Rivka Michaeli), Best Supporting Actor (Uri Hochman), Best Screenplay, and Best Cinematography.
