About film
A deeply personal musical odyssey exploring a search for roots, undertaken by director Ari Gold and his brother, songwriter Ethan. Shot in the spirit of Francis Ford Coppola's «live cinema» with a series of extended takes, the film follows the two brothers who constantly clash due to their differing worldviews: one seeks love and romance, while the other wants a stable career. Despite their differences, they unite on a quest to find their father, a Beat poet, in San Francisco. This film is a true safari through the secret haunts of Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg, featuring appearances from the band Weezer, poet Tongo Eisen-Martin, and the last living Beat poet, 99-year-old Herbert Gold.
