About film
Every night, hundreds of IDF soldiers go on dozens of arrest missions in Palestinian villages in the West Bank. This film gives its viewers a one-time peek into this ‘routine’ IDF fundamental experience, where manliness and shame, strength and weakness, lowliness and power, combine. In doing so, the film tells a tale, both realistic and surreal of this place.
Director
Born in 1987. Writer, film maker, film professor, and columnist. Winner of the Israeli Ministry of Culture award for young filmmakers. Agmon is a graduate of the Sam Spiegel Film School, and has published five books. His short films were screened in numerous festivals and were nominated for the Israeli Academy Award. Agmon created two web projects: «The Hitchhikers» and «Senior Moments». His first feature-length documentary «Rachel Agmon» was screened in the official competition at the last Jerusalem Film Festival. His new TV series «YYY» will be broadcast in June. «Battle Hymm» is his first VR project.
