About film
In 2009, Jasmine Feingold, the Israeli rowing champion, capsized with her boat on the Hayarkon River in Tel Aviv and lost consciousness. During the five minutes she was under water, none of the dozens of passers-by rushed into the water to help her. With the help of new methods of three-dimensional photography, photogrammetry, animation and 360° video, the «Observation from the Side» project allows participants to relive this day through eyewitness statements. The project was created with the support of the Makor Foundation for Israeli Cinema, the Gesher Multicultural Film Foundation, the KAN Israeli Broadcasting Society, the Mifal Hapais Council for Culture and the Arts, the Canadian Media Foundation (CMF) and the Berlin-Brandenburg Media Board (MBB).
