About film
«Ye'arim» is a film that tells the story of the survivors from the kibbutzes Netiv Ha-Asara and Zikim, who were evacuated from their homes on October 7. The film follows their journey as they adapt to life at the Yearim hotel in the Jerusalem hills. Through personal stories, the film paints a vivid picture of their lives, focusing on their interactions with each other and their efforts to create a sense of community amidst the uncertainty of their new surroundings. One of the most touching scenes in the film is when a volunteer art therapist sets up a room for the children to paint, shortly after the tragic event that led to their evacuation. The surviving boy, who has been through a lot, begins by painting a house. This scene symbolizes the hope and resilience of the survivors as they start anew.In a touching scene, a volunteer art therapist opens up a room for the children to paint, shortly after the tragic event.
