Over the past century, humanity has developed a strong attachment to going to the movies. What started as a simple form of entertainment has evolved into a significant part of our culture and society. We used to enjoy the experience of going to the theater, but now it seems that we have lost interest. Have we truly abandoned the magic of darkness that the cinema offers? In the movie «Only In Cinemas,« we meet the Laemmle family, who have been closely connected to the movie industry for over a century. The family started with two Jewish refugees who opened a cinema in Los Angeles in the 1930s. Since then, four generations of the family have continued to contribute to the success of their cinemas. However, as technology has advanced and streaming services have become more popular, the future of cinemas has become uncertain. Do cinemas still have a place in our modern world, or will they be replaced by streaming services? How will the Laemmle family respond to these challenges? Only time will tell.
