About film
Novi Sad Remembrance, written by Aleksandar Reljić, is a story of the tragic events that occurred in the Serbian city of Novi Sad during 1942. Over 1,000 citizens of the city, including Serbs, Jews, and Roma, were killed by the Hungarian occupying forces. They were thrown into the freezing waters of the Danube River. The story begins with the figure of Professor Maria Vasić, a sociology teacher, who recounts this dark chapter in Serbian history to her students and fights against attempts to forget this tragedy.
