About film
In 1998, during the summer holidays, one of the granddaughter's finds a hidden stash with her grandmother's diary under the TV in the nightstand. As she reads through the diary, she begins to see the memories of her grandmother's difficult journey out of the ghetto and into a concentration camp. She learns why her grandmother hid her notes for so long and the significance of their conversation. This film, based on a real-life diary found by director Shulamit Lifshitz in her grandmother's home, explores the importance of sharing stories and the weight of memories.

Director
Director and screenwriter Shulamit Lifshitz lives in Jerusalem and graduated from the Ma'aleh Film School. Before joining the Faculty of Cinematography, she worked as a history teacher. Lifshitz and Ariel Berkovich, who were both born in Jerusalem, have been collaborating since their second year at the IALC. Their student films, Miriam (2018) and Noah (2019), have received critical acclaim at various festivals.
Oriel Berkovits is an animator, screenwriter, and director who was born in Jerusalem. At the age of 16, he started working as an illustrator and animator. His diploma animation project, «The Righteous Man» (2014), which he created at the Bezalel Academy, received a music award at the Athens Animation Festival and has been shown at film festivals worldwide.
