About film
Early 90s, Jerusalem. Marie comes from France to Israel to marry her companion in the circle of a Jewish-Moroccan family. The whole family is preparing for Sheva brachot, the custom of the «Seven Blessings": for six days after the wedding, they arrange meals for the newlyweds, during which seven wedding blessings are pronounced. When Marie was two years old, her mother gave her to her infertile sister, which was then Moroccan customs preventing a childless wife from divorcing her husband. The whole family believes that the bride should be grateful that she got to a rich aunt and grew up without financial problems, unlike the rest of the family. But Marie wants an apology, and a drama is played out, where the groom's family gets into — the complete opposite of the bride's family.
