About film
The movie directed by Alam-Warke Davidian and Kobi Davidian is focused on a little-known but tragic story of the past. In May 1991, after Ethiopia's years-long civil war ended, 15,000 Ethiopian Jews were airlifted to Israel in less than 24 hours. The operation was secret, coordinated by the Israeli military, and was considered an absolute success. Now, years later, Alam-Warke and Kobi Davidian delve into the details that were hidden all along and explore how activists from the Jewish Ethiopian community live today. The movie details the Ethiopian Jewish community living in Kiryat Moshe. The narrative focuses on Hana, a confident activist who dreams of making a difference in her neighborhood. For eight years, she has been actively involved in a national building program aimed at renewing Kiryat Moshe. The project promises to usher in a new era for residents — but doing so is not easy.
