The Good Person (2022)

Sharon, a determined and ambitious film producer from Tel Aviv, is on the brink of bankruptcy after her divorce from her husband, who used to help finance her films. In order to maintain her sense of dignity and financial stability, she agrees to work with Uzi Silver. He was once a renowned director, but he turned to religion, becoming an ultra-Orthodox rabbi and giving up filmmaking. Now he wants to return to the world of cinema with an adaptation of the biblical tragedy of King Saul. However, working with Silver feels more like a battle than filmmaking, and the project threatens to break Sharon both morally and financially, endangering her relationships with those she holds dear. The film explores the intricate relationship between art, religion, and morality.
