About film
Rosalie Lily Goldstein lives in a poor neighborhood of Jerusalem with her mother, an immigrant from France, who has recently parted ways with Rosalie's father. Rosalie imagines that her father has embarked on a long journey to the Galapagos Islands, but in reality, there are rumors that he has simply moved in with a neighbor. Rosalie adores artichokes and daydreaming. During the summer, when artichokes are in season, the city municipality provides boxes of these vegetables to low-income families. Rosalie is thrilled, as she can enjoy her favorite taste and fantasize about spending time together with both parents, strolling in elegant attire through the streets or lounging on the park lawn. However, the artichoke season, along with the beautiful illusions, is coming to an end...
