Safiyyah (2019)

A pleasant mumblecore about the extreme levels of contemporary globalisation and the ongoing national separateness. A Danish Palestinian young man meets a girl in a nightclub in Norway (!), they feel a connection, go home together, almost undress — and then he finds out that she is Jewish. It is especially lovely that this film does not end with a preachy lesson but simply concludes in a way in which it, perhaps, would have done in real life — with no bloodshed, but with a soul-saving moment of rare unity.
