About film
This silent animation 3D film is imbued with a complex metaphorical message. Yom HaZikaron is the national remembrance day observed in Israel, and on that day the sirens are heard everywhere, even on the public beach. In order to escape the frightening noise, the heroine of Nobody Speak goes for a swim in the sea, nearly drown, and suddenly sees a submarine, where life takes its own course. This is an allegory to the way Israel functions – the entire country is basically in the perpetual state of war but has learned not to notice it and live as in an iron cocoon at the bottom of the timeless seas.
