Counterlight, 3rd part of Maya Zack's Memory Trilogy, is a hypnotic journey following the traces of poet Paul Celan. An archivist listens to extracts from recordings by Celan, analyzes the materials, penetrates the space of an old street photograph made in the 1937 Czernowitz, and resurrects the past.

was born in 1976, Israeli director and artist. She creates video-art, short films, and installations. She graduated from the Bezalel, Academy of Art Jerusalem, where she now teaches. Zack received awards from the Israeli Ministry of Culture, the Israel Museum Jerusalem, and many others. In 2007 she released the short drama Mother Economy about excessive control and in 2016 – the documentary film Counterlight about poet Paul Celan. In 2014 she released her film A-22103 in which Zack told the story of choreographer Yudith Arnon who survived the Holocaust.
