About event
On December 14th, at the Closing Ceremony of the 10th Moscow Jewish Film Festival, the winners will be announced and Georgiy Daneliya's film Passport will be screened.
Passport is a comedy-parable about a Georgian taxi driver, Merab, who by mistake ends up in Israel instead of his brother Yakov, a choir conductor who decided to emigrate. He desperately tries to get back, finding himself in absurd situations and confronting the realities of a new country, set against the backdrop of the late Perestroika era and mass emigration. The film explores questions of national identity, fate, and the search for one's place, using the motif of a «foreign» passport and foreign land.
The ceremony will be held at Moskino Kosmos, located at Prospekt Mira, 109.
