About event
The conversation will focus on the design features of memorials, their goals in creating and perceiving them in the context of the tragic events of the 20th century. We will discuss how memorials have evolved over time, from being massive structures to being more scaled down and integrated into the urban landscape. By the beginning of the 21st century, memorials have moved away from being gigantic and are now more in line with the size of a person and the urban environment they are located in.
