Egor Belikov, the MJFF Narrative Film Program Curator, will share his opinion about the phenomenon of contemporary Israeli cinema as such and Ahed’s Knee in particular. What does the political context of this film entail, and what did its director Nadav Lapid want to say? We will talk about the heroine, about Ahed herself and about reasons for naming the film after her — did that story really take place? The audience members will be able to share their opinions about the film and agree or argue with Egor about what they saw in this picture.
