Tod Lending is an American producer, director, writer, and cinematographer. He is the founder and president of Nomadic Pictures, a documentary film production company, and the Executive Director of Ethno Pictures, a nonprofit film company that produces and distributes educational films.
About event
The director will tell how he met cheerful musicians Saul and Ruby, and how during a lunch with the very chicken soup from the film he figured out where to find the funding for the unexpected production. He will also talk about the fear he had that his heroes might not live to see the premiere, and about how long the post-production stage lasted. Tod will have a conversation with the Documentary Film Program Curator Ksenia Gapchenko about how the Jewish director filmed his first Jewish film, and about what his future plans are amidst the pandemic.
