Susanne Kovacs is a Danish director, screenwriter, and producer. She is the granddaughter of the Holocaust survivors and the daughter of a German mother and a German-Jewish father. She studied fine arts and storytelling in Germany, and filmmaking at The European Film College in Ebeltoft. It Takes a Family (2019) is her first mid-length documentary.
About event
It Takes a Family is a story about different generations, about difficulties which every one of us comes to face. It is also about getting through those difficulties with the help of love and acceptance, even though it often requires much effort and bravery to look in the eyes of what you cannot change. The director of the film Susanne Kovacs and Program Curator Ksenia Gapchenko will talk about what one truly needs their family for.
