About event
The image of "the little man" has always fascinated human imagination. Why does he behave in such a strange manner? What moves him? What is he striving towards? Art all around the world often turns to stories about that kind of personality. In Russian culture these are tales about Ivan the Fool, a novel about prince Myshkin and a film about Yuriy Detochkin. In western culture there is a fare share of those stories too, from Shakespearean fools to Forrest Gump. Contemporary Israeli director Joseph Cedar has also had his say on the subject through his film "Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer". The screening will be followed by a discussion led by film critic Egor Belikov.
