As the last Holocaust survivors are nearing the end of their lives, young Israelis are eager to immortalize the collective trauma. Sharing videos from their trips to Poland on the blogs becomes a main way of doing it. Teenagers, their teachers and parents film every testimony, gas chamber and ceremony, as well as late-night hang-outs at the hotel and video selfies, and it is those videos that “#uploading_holocaust” is based on. The film screening will be followed by a discussion with Valeriya Agafonova about history of previous generations and how it can exist in personal memories of our contemporaries.
