About event
Odessa is where life is merry and delicious, many people know about that. But few of them suspect that Odessa on the coast of the Black sea was conceived as a place where people of different nationalities could live together, or how those people found common ground. Humour appeared as means to survive the hardest of challenges. Food that could be accepted from a neighbour’s hands and enjoyed without fears became a fast way of making friends. Odessa is a small world where citizens know the secrets of communal living and have developed their own special philosophy and approach to anything that happens. Odessites that move around the planet carry their secrets along to any place - Israel, America, Germany, France, Austria, Russia and further on. That’s what the film "Into_nation of Big Odessa" is about, and the viewers can talk about those traits with the film’s producer Susanna Alperina and director Alexander Brunkovsky.
