was born in 1951,  director, producer, cinematographer, photographer, and author. He studied film and photography at Hampshire College. Sherman produced The Brooklyn Bridge which was nominated for an Academy Award in 1981. In Search of Israeli Cuisine is a portrait of the contemporary Israeli people talking about food. The film has been screened at more than 160 film festivals. Sherman's film Don't Divorce the Children became a mandatory viewing in many states for families going through a divorce.
